Target Age Group: 9- 14 years old  | Class Duration: 60 Minutes

 

Course Description 

Throughout the year, students will develop a business from idea to pitch through engaging, hands-on missions. The course concludes with a Shark Tank-style presentation to a panel of judges. 


Course Goals

• Create and pitch a complete business idea


Shark Tank Missions

Term 1

Mission 1: Become an Entrepreneur

 Learn what entrepreneurs do and discover how they identify opportunities by solving everyday problems.  

Mission 2: Find Your Big Idea

 Brainstorm several ideas and choose one business concept to develop throughout the  

Mission 3: Know Your Customer

 Identify your ideal customer and learn why understanding your audience is key to success. 

Mission 4: Build Your Brand

 Create a business name, logo, tagline, and mission statement that represent your company.  

Mission 5: Design Your Product

 Sketch your product or service, gather feedback, and make improvements.  

Mission 6: Money Matters

 Learn the basics of startup costs, pricing, profit, and budgeting. 

Mission 7: Marketing Magic

 Design eye-catching advertisements and learn how businesses attract  

Mission 8: Customer Service

 Practice communication skills and learn how excellent customer service builds loyal customers.  


Term 2 Class Topics

Mission 9: The Sales Challenge

 Develop persuasive sales techniques and confidently present your product. 

Mission 10: Pitch Practice

 Build public speaking skills and practice answering investor questions. 

Mission 11: Prototype Workshop

 Create or refine a simple prototype or visual representation of your business. 

Mission 12: Mock Shark Tank

 Present your business to classmates and receive constructive feedback.  

Mission 13: Final Improvements

 Polish your presentation, display board, and business plan before the final event. 

Mission 14: Shark Tank Day

 Present your business to a panel of judges and showcase everything you've learned.  

Final Presentation

 Students will present their business name, logo, product or service, target customer, pricing strategy, marketing plan, display board, prototype, and a three-minute Shark Tank pitch.
